Seven years ago, we transformed this small urban garden into an edible forest — planting fruit trees, berries, herbs, and vegetables through a permablitz. Since then Cat has become a horticultural therapist and now it’s time to return for a revival permablitz where we will prune the fruit trees and fruit bushes, add lasagna mulch to support soil health, prepare and plant up a bed for medicinal plants.
Mini-workshops will include:
Cat’s top-ten medicinal plants
Materials you can use for a lasagne mulch and their benefits
How to prune fruit trees and fruit bushes
Permablitzes offer the chance to learn by doing: the mini-workshops explain the how and why for what we are doing and then you take the practical action so they provide a great way to learn. They are based on the principle of reciprocity so once you have been to three permablitzes you can apply to have one in your own space and apply to join the Introduction to Permablitz Design, a free introduction to permaculture design course.
RSVP Essential: if you want to come along you need to let us know so we know numbers for lunch, which is provided, and so we can give you all the specific details. Contact us at info@permablitzlondon.com letting us know you want to join Cat’s Garden Permablitz.
