Permablitz at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses

  • Brockwell Community Greenhouses Herne Hill South London United Kingdom (map)

Join us for the first Permablitz organised in collaboration between Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses and Permablitz London.

Come and learn how to prune fruit trees and soft fruit bushes in an urban woodland.

On this permablitz we will be learning the theory and practice of winter pruning fruit trees and soft fruit bushes. The day will start with a workshop explaining how to prune and after that we will apply what has been learnt by pruning the fruit trees and soft fruit bushes on site before mulching around their bases and carrying out other winter tasks in the orchard. Come along to meet fellow volunteers, learn about orchard care and hone new skills. A simple vegetarian lunch will be provided.

Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses is a community garden in the centre of Lambeth’s Brockwell Park. We provide a welcoming space where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect with nature and community. We run activities 7 days a week including garden volunteering, school visits, workshops, gigs and community events.  BPCG is a Registered Charity.

RSVP Essential - If you would like to come along you need to let us know so we know numbers for lunch, which is provided, and so we can give you all the specific details. Register for the permablitz by clicking here.
