A permaculture approach to designing a tiny home on water
Wednesday 12th November • 6.30pm-8.30pm
Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent’s Park Rd, NW1 7AY
(nearest tube: Camden Town northern line)
This talk shares the journey of redesigning and fitting out a tiny narrowboat home: exploring how to zone a small space, build multi-functional features and integrate simple off-grid systems. Rooted in permaculture ethics and principles, the project was both a design challenge and a lifestyle experiment that required significant creative problem-solving.
The latest phase of the project has been to build a garden on the boat using recycled pallets to create wicking planters. This wouldn’t have been possible without the practical benefits of the reciprocal nature of permablitzing.
We’ll be sharing insights for anyone curious about:
Tiny space living & narrowboat life
Permaculture applied to tiny space and off-grid living
Ways to make upcycled furniture on a budget
