Understanding the soil-food-web and healthy plants
£40.00

Saturday 17th October

10am-4pm

Join this day-long workshop for a deep dive into the world beneath our feet. You’ll learn about who the creatures are in the soil and their role within the soil-food-web, including their benefits to plants.

You’ll have a chance in small groups to look at the soil-creatures through a microscope and compare different composts and soils.

The day will also cover how to build thriving soil through compost, extracts and teas.

The permablitz at Kentish Town City Farm on 22nd August build two thermophyllic compost piles that will be in the maturation phase by the middle of October. The course will collect some of the compost and look at who is living in there under a microscope.

Vegetarian lunch will be provided.
